When a table is created in Hive using the SPD Engine serializer/deserializer (serde) to access an SPD Engine table, the Hive table cannot be accessed with the SAS In-Database Code Accelerator for Hadoop. Error messages like the following are generated:
ERROR: java.lang.RuntimeException: ERROR: The table record length is not found in table properties.
The problem occurs because file information that is required to read an SPD Engine file by the serde is lost before it can be used.
The sample PROC DS2 code below that uses the code accelerator to access an SPD Engine table through Hive generates the error:
proc ds2 DS2ACCEL=YES; ds2_options trace; thread Thread1 / overwrite=yes; method run(); set hivelib.out; end; endthread; data hivelib.outtext (overwrite=yes); declare thread Thread1 t; method run(); set from t; end; enddata; run;
